Part 3: 4 Things Getting in the Way of Figuring Out Your Life Series
In this episode, I’m continuing my four-part series exploring how the innocent question “what do you want to be when you grow up” may inadvertently contribute to the development of 4 flawed premises holding you back from selecting a major and career that are in alignment with you. This episode challenges the flawed premise this common query may lead you to believe that you can only “become” or do one thing when you grow up.
If you haven’t listened to part 1 and part 2 in this series yet, I strongly recommend giving them a listen first. In those episodes, I explore why you are still going to be you when you grow up and why you cannot simply think your way to a decision.
What You Will Learn in This Episode:
Why you don’t only have to choose one thing to “become” or do when you grow up. The idea that you’ve got only one choice causes unneeded pressure to make the right choice when it comes to determining what you want to do with your life. Learn this line of thinking is holding you back and what you can do to shift it.
